International
Conference for the Integration of Sci&Tech into Society
(ICISTS-KAIST), the ICISTS-KAIST Organizing Committee annual
international conference is a collaborative effort of undergraduate
students of KAIST and the Ministry of Science and Technology of Korea
to promote discourse on critical science and technology issues
affecting modern society.
- Unite
experts and students from a wide array of fields to discuss and arrive
at a tentative consensus on controversial issues in science and
technology from an interdisciplinary perspective.
- Encourage public interest in the field of science and technology.
- Provide
students from different countries of the world valuable educational
opportunities, and provide them with a framework for a long lasting
global network.
- Of the theses submitted with
conference applications (Call for Papers - optional), superior theses
will be selected and published. Selected theses will be edited, and
published for the public to view.
- All programs of
the conference, including lectures and panel discussions, will be
recorded for future reference and will also be offered to the public to
view through the Internet.
