Project Management and Engineering
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Oceaneering's Oilfield Projects Group (OPG)
Project Managers - have over 200 years combined offshore
installation, construction, and diving experience. Project Managers
direct all operations of projects and installation.
PROJECT ENGINEERING
Oceaneering's Oilfield Projects Group (OPG)
Project and Installation Engineers - oversee all aspects of a
project's engineering and design. Our Project Managers and Project
Engineers work together to successfully and safely complete
installations. With hi-tech and advanced engineering processes and
computer systems, our engineers have the leading edge in technology.
FLEXIBLE PRODUCT
Oceaneering can determine the safe envelope for
laying flexible products by running several OrcaFlex simulations.
Minimum, maximum and nominal offsets are simulated for many current and
wave conditions. All constrains on the flexible product are checked to
be sure that the entire installation envelope is safe and no damage can
occur to the flexible product. Other OrcaFlex simulations are run for
retrieving the flexible product. Retrieving a flexible product causes
the highest axial tension and the largest possibility to flatten the
flexible product over the chute. The installation team will know that by
staying within the set envelope no damage can occur to the flexible
product. Oceaneering has considerable experience with the OrcaFlex
program and therefore knows the programs limitations as well as its
strengths. Oceaneering has been hired to calculate the catenary for
flexible products in many of the harsh dynamic applications found around
the world.
RIGID PRODUCT
Oceaneering uses Offpipe for simulation of rigid
pipeline installation. The initiation, abandonment and recovery are all
modeled. Offpipe is a sophisticated, finite element method based
computer program. It has been developed specifically for the modeling
and structural analysis of nonlinear problems encountered in the
installation and operation of offshore pipelines. The latest version of
Offpipe is updated and used as it becomes available.
